Dr. Osvaldo Cabrera

Dr. Osvaldo Cabrera was born and raised in Miami. During his undergraduate education at Florida International University, he was accepted early into the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Davie, Florida. Dr. Cabrera’s education at NSU included full exposure to all aspects of Optometry, including primary eye care, conventional and specialty contact lens care, pediatric optometry (with emphasis in Strabismus, Amblyopia, and vision therapy), and ocular disease (with emphasis in Diabetic and retinal eye disease). As part of his education, Dr. Cabrera completed his externship clinical rotation where he worked alongside Ophthalmology, expanding his knowledge in the treatment and management of advanced ocular pathology. Dr. Cabrera graduated from NSU with his Doctorate of Optometry degree while simultaneously completing his Bachelor of Vision Science degree. After graduation, he worked in a primary care facility and also joined the medical staff at Aran Eye Associates, providing full scope medical eye care including treatment and management of: post operative cataract surgery, glaucoma, retinal disease (including macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy), and refractive surgery co-management (including LASIK, PRK, etc). He is part of the Miami Dade Optometric Physicians Association, Florida Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Cabrera’s passion is to provide personalized high quality eye care to help every patient enhance and perfect their visual needs. Dr. Cabrera prides himself on his professionalism, patience, and friendly bedside manners. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. During his off time, he enjoys weight training, reading and spending time with his family and friends.
